On Thursday 14th February local charity, The Crumbs Project are showcasing their trainees’ skills by hosting aValentines themed lunch. Visitors are welcome to enjoy a three-course meal for only £9 per person, which will be prepared and served by Crumbs’ mixed ability trainees.
The three-course lunch menu has been designed by Crumbs trainee; Stephanie who joined the training centre in May last year after suffering from mental illness. Stephanie joined Crumbs with severe self-esteem and confidence issues, which had prevented her from seeking employment.
During her training programme with the Crumbs Project, Stephanie has thrived- learning new skills, taking on challenges and growing in confidence. She has now regained her bubbly personality, progressing through her training programme and looking forward to the future ahead.
With the support of the Crumbs Team and her fellow trainees, Stephanie will be responsible for preparing and serving the Valentines’ day lunch.
Food Services Manager, Erika Sloper commented; “Stephanie has truly blossomed since joining Crumbs, becoming more confident in her own abilities and taking on new challenges with enthusiasm. The Valentines’ Lunch is an opportunity for her to take ownership of an event and for all the trainees to showcase the skills they have learnt at Crumbs.”
“Our themed lunches welcome those unfamiliar with Crumbs so they can find out more about our charity and for our supporters to see the progress our trainees are making.”
Crumbs’ Valentine’s Day lunch takes place on Thursday 14th February, from 12.30pm, at Crumbs Training Centre, 20a Hibberd Way, Bournemouth, BH10 4EP. To reserve your place please call The Crumbs Team on 01202 519320 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
