Earlier last week, Crumbs volunteer, Martin Keeping was invited to attend AFC Bournemouth‘s Vitality Stadium to support the cherries as 12th man of the match, in their game against Norwich City.
Martin originally joined The Crumbs Project as a trainee in 2006. After successfully completing his training Martin has continued to support the charity by volunteering to run our Snak Pak service. His responsibilities involve him packing the snack boxes, delivering and collecting these from local businesses. Martin has built a great relationship with all our customers and grown the client base for this service.
To recognise Martin’s valuable support and hard work AFC Bournemouth invited him to attend last week’s game as the clubs 12th man of the match. Martin who is happens to be a die-hard cherries fan was delighted to attend the evening, and choose Crumbs Food Service Assistant, Sylvia to accompany him to the game who also shares his passion for football.
The pair went pitch-side to soak up the pre-match atmosphere, where they met club manager Eddie Howe. Martin received a personalised football shirt and thoroughly enjoyed the game, which saw AFC Bournemouth progress in the Carabao Cup with a 2-1 win over Norwich City, thanks to goals from Junior Stanislas and Steve Cook.
