The Bournemouth based charity supports adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues and stabilized addictions by providing training for employment. Crumbs offers a place for vulnerable people to learn practical skills in catering, administration and housekeeping within a supported learning environment.
Trainees will be preparing over 800 cupcakes in preparation for the three-day event. Bookers wholesalers in Yeoman’s Way have donated the ingredients required to create the delicious treats.
All Daily Echo customers will receive a bottle of water, goodie bag and a FREE cupcake.
This is the second time The Crumbs Project has collaborated with the Daily Echo to raise awareness of the charity and its services. Earlier this year the two organizations partnered to support the Christchurch Food Festival.
Food Services Manager for The Crumbs Project, Erika Sloper commented, “We’re so pleased to be working with the Bournemouth Echo once again at yet another well-attended local event. The cakes were very popular at the Christchurch Food Festival and we’re hoping to replicate that success at the Poole Harbour Boat Show.”
The fourth annual Poole Harbour Boat Show will run from 8th to 10th June at Poole Quay, with over 30,000 people expected to attend the three-day extravaganza.
